Sell Quick is currently one of the founding members of a steering committee attempting to establish a self-regulatory trade body which will continually promote the best interests of you the homeseller. We hope that much of the Sell Quick Code of Practice below will ultimately be integrated into an industry-wide Code of Practice that will in the future gain Office of Fair Trading approval.
As is often the case with new or fast growing industries ours has received some bad press lately and we believe it to be entirely appropriate that such potentially sensitive business practices should be subject to scrutiny by the Press. We would like you to know that Sell Quick is an organisation of dedicated, full-time property professionals, all of whom have extensive experience in the business and credible track-records.
When you have taken time to absorb the Sell Quick Code of Practice below we are confident you will agree that we are market leaders in our field and certainly one of the safest options in our industry should you require one of our tailor-made services.
Not only do we publish this Code of Practice openly for you but, in our continued attempts to promote best practice throughout the industry, we would encourage you to measure others against it and we would encourage them to use us as a yardstick by which to measure the professionalism and integrity of their own business.
Our Code of Practice
Members of the Sell Quick Group will ensure that, where applicable, you the customer always receive the following: - FREE independent legal advice using only Law Society solicitors
- FREE independent Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors valuations to confirm full market values of properties – these will then enable a fixed purchase price to be confirmed
- FREE no obligation consultations and offers
- Full commitment to treating you fairly in line with Financial Services Authority guidelines
- Polite, professional and prompt response, normally within 1 working day, and you will always be dealt with in a sympathetic way
- Your information and any dealings with Sell Quick will be treated in a sensitive and confidential manner, also in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
- All offers will be explained in a clear and transparent way, and final offers will be valid for 28 days
- Purchase timeframes will be tailored to suit your needs
- No hidden costs whatsoever
- In the event of us being unable to help you other alternatives will swiftly be explored to assist you in the best possible way
- During the purchase process we will endeavour to contact you at least weekly to keep you sufficiently informed
- Any complaints will be dealt with fairly, consistently and promptly and any recurring or systematic problems will be rectified
- Our marketing will never be misleading and all documentation will be presented in plain English
- We encourage you to explore all options of resolving your situation, as well as by selling your property below market value, and will recommend where deemed appropriate welfare, debt and housing benefit advice
Additional ‘Safe Sell and Rent-Back’ relevant practices:
- Fair market rents will only ever be charged, furthermore and wherever possible in the future, all attempts will be made to offer discounts in the rents levied to encourage longevity of the tenancy
- A Fixed Term, Fixed Discount Buy-Back Option will always be made available by the time of our purchase
- It is Sell Quick Group policy to continually renew the standard tenancy agreements for as long as they are required, everything being in order and subject to individuals fulfilling their obligations as tenants
- Sell Quick Group members will always carry out professional landlord practices in support of any tenants and, once bought, your property will not be sold on to any third party during your tenancy
